The ThinLine mandoline uses a fixed Japanese-style stainless steel blade set into a 13-inch polypropylene frame, with a top dial that adjusts slice thickness from 0.5mm to 7mm for anything from cucumber ribbons to hearty potato chips destined for the fryer. Folding rubberized feet grip the countertop at a slight incline, letting gravity help feed food across the blade, while an interchangeable julienne insert cuts uniform matchsticks for slaws and stir-fries. A hand guard with stainless prongs holds produce securely as it shrinks near the blade, protecting fingers on the final passes. The frame folds flat to under an inch thick for drawer storage, and the blade assembly lifts out for sharpening or replacement. It is well suited for slicing duck-fat potatoes for gratin, shaving fennel for salads, or prepping large batches of vegetables quickly and evenly.
